I have no in person support. I need access to a credit card so that I can get groceries delivered because I physically can't grocery shop in person.

And delivery is a #CripTax because it's a necessary service (no I'm not suggesting shoppers and delivery drivers shouldn't get paid)

usually there is a cola but a few years there wasn't. grocery costs didn't notice, they still went up. and #CripTax always goes up.

also, this, plus the added #CripTax that comes with being disabled.

They never consider the #CripTax when measuring poverty for Disabled people

-Special diets
-Prescriptions
-all types of adaptive Devices
-Delivery fees
-travelling expenses
-Equipment
-accessible tech
-etc

Not to mention that often anything adaptive or accessible has a cost akin to luxury items.

The #CripTax is so real. I now have to pay £35 a year to use the medicine tracking app I've been using for almost a decade... 😭

I love all that my ♿️ gives me: freedom, support, connection.
This wk my 2-yo wheelchair broke, after only using it max for 1-2 hrs once/week (and sometimes LOTS less). It'll either cost $40 to fix, or $500. The cost is all on me.

(Also, this whole process has been SUCH a reminder of the #criptax. Between OTC meds, massage mats, braces, and the housekeeping help I’m going to need to recover from it (b/c...oof, flares), getting sick is EXPENSIVE, even without the insurance copays for docs, labs, & meds.)

But on the scale of accommodations and other #CripTax sources, I'm on the luckier end.
