That's the 3rd article I post in connection to sal and how I've been using it to publish and keep the footer of my running blog updated with Strava statistics.

Back a bit faster now. One month on. 5km in 23:04min (4:36/km). Took 70seconds off last month's 5km (14sec/km). Set off a bit too fast at 4:30/km pace for the first 2km...and it was cold. Took 3km for feet to warm up :) #devsWhoRun
A Strava image of a map showing an out and back over the Ben Franklin Bridge and along the Camden waterfront. The he was title says Run the Bridge 10k. The distance was 6.24 miles, the time 52m 36s, and the pace 8:25 /mi.
Two 8.5x11 inch poster on white paper on a counter. The first poster says βRun, Dada, Run!β in cursive script. Above the script are green toddler footprints. The second poster in blue block letters says βCanβt catch my daddy!β. A green toddler handprint is to the right of the letters. In between the posters is a post race medal from the Cooper Norcross 2025 Run the Bridge 10k. The lanyard is yellow and blue. The medal features a cartoon Ben Franklin running in front of the bridge.
I ran my first race today in many years. It was a 10k out and back over the Ben Franklin Bridge and along the Camden waterfront. I gave an all out effort and surpassed what I thought was possible for myself. Super happy with the result!

I'm (almost) back! 5km in 24:14min (4:49/km) road running. Perfect cool autumn evening. Last run on this route, May 2024 (28:29min). Who'd have thought 5 months in gym working on Core, Strength, Weights, Bike and Treadmill would actually help! #AsicsGelNimbus so light. #devsWhoRun
I declare today a national holiday in my household: Garmin finally gave me back that 1pt VO2max it stole during winter.

ππΎββοΈ Just had a disco nap, ready to eat! Great run today. Went with a π€πΎ of unplanned effort as Iβm trying to figure out a few things. But my body was all ok. It was a fun one. GO JAYS! #WANTITALLΒ

ππΎββοΈ So yesterday. After taking 4 days off, was due for a long run and I had no time trial in mind, but something to fit the fall mood. File this under ππΎ. My fitness is unquestionably there, had a great summer as I look fwd to fall. NGL, this felt like easy work

My On running shoes gave out after just 400km, so I decided to try Nike for the first time. Ordered the Pegasus Plus - excited to see how they perform!

π it's happening. One of my fave times of year, and the leaves are beginning their colourful transformation on this last day of summer. Had a great long run this weekend and got to see it right before my eyes... β₯οΈ

A selfie of a man post run. Heβs standing under the streetlight for better lighting because itβs 6am and still dark out. Heβs wearing a sweaty gray shirt and has AirPods in his ears. Heβs wearing has a big grin on his face because he finished running 3.8 miles on his 38th birthday.
Day 61/62. After an easy 2 miles yesterday, what better way to celebrate my 38th birthday than waking up early and running 3.8 miles this morning!

ππΎββοΈ This was my weekend long run:
πΈ goal was 4β44β pace
πΈ actual was 4β43β
Basically, I was just about off by 1% (0.8% actually). I like this discipline plays. Getting back to my random 100min half for kicks. And yes, Iβve been watching #WCHTokyo25 getting inspired.

Strava overlay on top of a mapped route around Cooper River. Text on overlay indicated a morning run of 5.52 mi a time of 56m 30s and a pace of 10:14/mi. The run consisted of 6x800m with 400m easy in between
Day 60! Kept it mostly easier this week (at least in terms of running). So today I did a little of a speed workout 6x800 with 400 walk/jog between. Knee never caused pain, but feeling much better about it now than I had earlier this week.

A Strava overlay showing an evening run with a distance of 3.24 miles, a time of 29m 52s, and a pace of 9:13 /mi. The background image shows a group of about 50 runners all posing before their run begins.
Days 56-59. Summer is winding down and so is my ability to posting every run. That said in the last week I got a couple easy runs in, a 7 miler, and a really fun group run last night which including a free post run beer and tacos Tuesday deals.

Ooof. Long a** day. My long run felt longer than it was? I believe I was just starving by the end. Added i was rushing to get to a πΉπΉ food fest. I treated myself to a self mixed radler w/ my eventual meal. Likely still didnβt make my back my 1600 calories π₯ from this run.

Day 55. I woke up this morning with my legs dead from my 8+ miles yesterday. But not doing anything on a day off felt like a missed opportunity. So I went for a 2mile shakeout run. And let me tell you, legs feel so much better now!

Wrapped up August with a long run yesterday, closing out the month w/ 270km. Iβm still shocked at how intentional adjustments to my training and gym work allowed me to log 800km in the last 3 months. β¨ππΎβ¨
I honestly feel great as I get used to this new cadence/output

Strava overlay on top a view of Philadelphia from the Ben Franklin Bridge. Strava stats show a morning run of 8.22 miles in 1 hour and 25 mins at a 10:23 minute per mile pace
Day 52-54. After a couple 3 mile runs earlier this week to ensure my knee was feeling good, I took a quick train ride to run one of my favorite routes! Maintained an easy pace and felt great!
#SummerRunningSeries #DevsWhoRun
Day 51. Last night a did an out and back 5k. I did everything just below 9min mile pace - fastest run yet. Cardio felt great. Though I did feel a little twinge in my knee. Pain level low, but going to keep it easy next couple days so issues donβt compound.

ππΎββοΈ This weekend: a mileage play. Simple, uneventful, but nice quiet mornings both days. Still no plans to race this year, but considering a possible time trial. That said β enjoyed both days. Planning the week already.

Day 49/50. Didnβt realize today marked my 50th run of the summer - and it was a great one too! After an easy 2.5 on Thursday, we traveled down to Cape May for a long weekend. This morning I woke up early and did 7 miles along the bay and down to the beach!
#SummerRunningSeries #DevsWhoRun
Day 47/48. After 3.5 easy miles on Monday and a 4 mile tempo run today, I came to a realization. If I want to increase my mileage, I need to increase my pace. As a working parent I only have a limited time I can train and need to make the most of it.

Post run selfie of man in the sweatiest gray eagles shirt. Heβs smiling but feels exhausted inside after completely an interval track workout
Day 46. Hit the track again today for a 10x400m with 90sec rest (1 mile warmup and cooldown). Hit my goal of having every interval under 2mins with most around 1:50. Iβm gassed and sweaty but hell of a workout!

Day 39-45. A combo of work and a sick toddler has had me a bit distracted from posting updates, but the running never stopped. Hit some easy runs, a speed workout, and a long run of 6.3 miles. Today was a progression 4 and Iβm feeling great!
