Er waren er nog meer, maar hier een dozijn eksters in een boom, wat verder weg, aan de rand van het park, tegen een lichtblauwe lucht. There were more, but here a dozen magpies in a tree, a little further away, on the edge of the park, against a light blue sky.

Ik tel 14 eksters in deze foto. Er zit ook een zwarte kraai in de boom en er wordt wat heen en weer gevlogen. I count 14 magpies in this photo. There's also a black crow in the tree, and there's some flying back and forth.

Het dak van het vogelvoederhuisje is bedekt met sneeuw. Op de balkonrand ervoor zit een ekster met zijn rug naar ons toe en zijn kop naar rechts gedraaid. Alsof hij zich afvraagt wat dat witte spul is. The roof of the bird feeder is covered with snow. On the balcony edge in front of it sits a magpie with its back to us and its head turned to the right. As if he's wondering what that white stuff is.

De ekster is op het dak van het vogelvoederhuisje gesprongen en doet een dansje in de sneeuw. Brrrrr... kouwe voeten. The magpie has jumped onto the roof of the bird feeder and is doing a dance in the snow. Brrrrr... cold feet.
