Check out this stunning European Robin! He’s perched on a diagonal branch speckled with pale lichen, looking super alert. The soft lighting highlights the vibrant saturation of his brilliant orange-red breast, making it glow like a little ember against his olive-brown wings and the deep, blurry green background.

The spring has sprung also here in southwestern Finland. This European Robin was spending quality time on a local small wildlife feeding place.

A large pile of red and orange apples is laying in the middle of the snow. Between the apples sits a little bird, about the same size as the apples surrounding it. It’s poofed up into a tiny ball to protect itself from the cold. It’s back is brown whilst its belly and face it’s bright red, making it look like one of the apples of the pile it’s sitting on.
