The likely Questionable Stropharia has a frosty looking white stem, white frills that gird their yellow cap and shelter their whit/grey gills. There are 6 trillium here. One in the foreground with a flower that is newly emerging, two of a similarly small stature immidiately behind it. Another just emerging from the ground to the left of the fungi and a larger version in the intentionally poorly lit background. A composite of 76 pictures were used to create this focus stacked image lit with multiple LED lights supplementing the diminishing sunight as this was taken near sunset. Note the bits of pollen both on the trillium and the fungi. This was taken just prior to the more recent rains that thankfully knocked out a lot of the pollen that's been torturing me as of late.
Check out these Pacific Trillium, Trillium ovatum, in various stages of maturity posed perfectly beside their #FungiFriend, who I believe is a Questionable Stropharia, Stropharia ambigua. #Fungi #Macro #BloomScrolling #Pollen #Sneezy
