OMG I'm so proud of what I learned to build today in #Godot #GameDev at #GDQuest. This is so fun!!!!!!!!!!
#gdquest
My #GameDev progress with #Godot 4 and #GDQuest continues, and I did manage to juice up the dialogue system quite a bit, and it already feels *tremendously* better. Don't you think??
Tried resuming my #Godot #GameDev courses at #GDQuest due to a very tight schedule, and here's something we learned to make: A dialogue system! It's nowhere complete yet, but I've got the foundations up. Just a little bit of juice needed to make it more ... juicy?

Know what's wild? Bit flags. Just learned how those work and it's so NEAT. Also, consequently, I finally understand how the heck binary counting works. I mean, on a basic level at least. It mystified me for way too long.
Thanks #GDquest!! (Tokodon isn't autocompleting their address right now […]
Happy new year! (sorry for the delay :D)
I kept working on both courses, but 3D is really exciting.
It feels like learning GamaDev all over again, every little step feels great!

Using Gdquest course to break my mental barrier and publish my progress on things... Hopefully it gets easier after some time 🤡.
I have started both 2D and 3D since i have a good amount of experience with 2D already!

This final video sums up the Module 6 of my #2D #GameDev journey with #Godot and #GDQuest. The items popping out from the chest and the subtle animations make everything look juicy now, don't they?
Learning #GameDev with #Godot and #GDQuest, and I created this chest animation and a function that spawns items out of it. Currently the items stack atop of each other, but gonna remedy that soon!
My #GameDev journey with #Godot and #GDQuest progresses as I reach the Module 6 of GDQuest's 2D #GameDev course. Today, I created a chest opening animation and made it so that the chest opens when you click on it, and you can't open the chest more than once.

Created this mini-toy in #Godot after completing Module 5 from #GDQuest. My #GameDev journey continues with a satisfying pace...
LMK if you have any feedback and any encouraging/supportive words are more than welcome! ❤️
Wait, who gave Gobot a sword?

My #GameDev journey with #Godot and #GDQuest progresses at a satisfying pace, and today I learned how to add dynamic animations via code. They're called "tweens". Don't the animations just look juicy?
My #GameDev progress with #Godot and #GDQuest continues. I learned this mechanic today where if a ship leaves the screen, it comes out of the opposite end!
My #GameDev journey with #Godot and #GDQuest progress at a satisfying pace and I finally implemented randomly spawning objects. There's still a little bit of polish left, as well as the fact that player can leave the screen.
My #GameDev journey with #Godot and #GDQuest continues! I learned a very important feature in Godot, to segregate objects of similar type sharing the same script - Groups! It was really fun and we implemented this cool little collectathon. (Mind my spelling 😅).
My #GameDev journey continues with #Godot and #GDQuest. I created a working health-bar, but one rotates with the ship, and one does not! Which one would you vote for?
Another day, another lesson at #GDQuest using the #Godot engine. Created a simple health bar that disappears when the ship touches it. Working on the health bar, and polish.
I have taken a break from the #GDQuest modules. I've caught up with most of the 2D path so I've decided to up my coding skills by starting on boot.dev (www.boot.dev/u/fezbot)
So far I've already learned a lot!
#coding #gamedev #bootdotdev
I completed the next #GDQuest module and finished a Tower Defense game!
I learned a lot including:
Pathfinding
Placing turrets
mobspawning
Upgrading turrets
Autoloading
and much more!
Check out the video for what I created.

I've started #GDQuest module 11!
I'm coming to a point where I don't necesarily have new things to share with how I am progressing.
Therefor I will not continue with daily updates from here on out.
I will update after finishing a module, or personal projects!
#GameDev #godot
Today I finished #GDQuest module 10!
There is an extended version but I think want to try and make my first own app before I continue.
So that is what I'm going to try and do this weekend!
Stay tuned for updates on my first project by myself!

Another day learning #Gamedev with #Godot at #GDQuest Didn't learn much, other than how we bring together pre-made assets, effects, scenes, and backgrounds to assemble a really simple but enchanting level in Godot.
**NOTE:** Assets are pre-made! We just bought them together!
