I used #BasinCreek #Cutoff to turn around, leaving the #SnakeRiver #Headwaters for Heart Lake Trail. It's mostly a stock trail through the woods, but the #Cutoff goes through some open country, views of #MountSheridan.

Morning of Day 4 started with this ford of the #SnakeRiver in #Yellowstone. The water was too high for boots+gaiters but easy in sandals. The water was also warming that the ambient air.

The other two tributaries that make up the #headwaters of the French Broad River, the same one that passes through #Asheville to the north, all converge at #Rosman. As a results, the little town is highly prone to major #flooding, where the water levels can go from 2 to 4 feet to 14 in a few hours.
