Zoom in on the hand-coloured title page for the purchase inscription. Looks to be “Empt[um] anno 1574: pr[etium] ij [or vj?] s iiijd”. A price of 2s 4d seems more plausible than 6s 4d, even if it is heavily illustrated. Any #histbook thoughts out there? (4/5)
