Recently, new Canadians came together at Étienne Brulé park with OLTA, Culture Link and Let's Hike TO for a winter walk along the Humber River, to enjoy the feeling of peace that comes from spending time in nature, and especially near water.

My first trip to the Humber River this year and I saw this bird. Initially it was only a few feet away but then it flew to the other side of the river.
It's a very common bird in the summertime... but this is a very early sighting.

Initially she flew by so quickly and close that I wasn't able to get a photo. As she flew down the river the camera focus grabbed onto her.
