Some teams in #Iditarod53 were told they were not racing at competitive speeds, and were pulled from the race. Q decided to take his canine family on a trip to Nome anyway. Congrats Q & doggies - you look good under that burled arch! 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾

Just watched the video of Ebbe's finish and it's adorable. He's such a happy guy! But when they asked for his vet book and he shockingly asked "what?! I don't get to keep it?! It's a souvenier!" I laughed outloud. #Iditarod53

the #iditarod53 insider chat is still up too, until the Red Lantern comes in. To be a little sentimental, whilst it’s often an incredibly annoying test of my patience, I love chat. There remains something profound about connecting with people for 2 weeks only, over a single shared interest.

Good morning #iditarod53! There is just one musher left on the trail, rookie Jenny Roddewig, currently resting in White Mountain. I have to wonder how lonely it might be to know you are the last one left traversing that wilderness? Or whether it feels like following in so many footsteps (pawprints)?

Jenny Roddewig got to white mountain at 9:31pm AKDT which means she can leave at 5:31am Monday.
I'm going to guess she takes at least 11 hours so red lantern in around 4:30pm AKDT at earliest.
