I was iffy on IW initially, but this is just too bonkers for me to resist. Katy Manning was born for this role.

I've heard that #IrisWildthyme is like Marmite. You'll either like her or you won't. I personally do (and not just because she's voiced by #KatyManning - although that helps), but because she's fun, enjoys a drink (or three) and is completely different to the Doctor.

Whilst the previous three #Excelis stories formed a trilogy, #BerniceSummerfield's #ThePlagueHerdsofExcelis was a sequel to the first chapter #ExcelisDawns. It even starred the wonderful
#KatyManning.
as #IrisWildthyme - which meant the story was already off to a great start.
My first story involving #IrisWildthyme, voiced by the amazing #KatyManning. Honestly she was one of the best parts to this story. Iris is fun and energetic, but also different enough from Jo, to be a completely different character - despite being played by the same actress.
Image shows a blonde woman in a teal silk dress, striped pink and black tights, star-spangled shoes, a wide-brimmed purple hat decorated with colourful flowers, pink heart-shaped sunglasses, and a big leopardskin fur coat. Her companion is a small plush panda wearing a purple velvet smoking jacket and green silk cravat. He has a pair of technical-looking goggles pushed back on his forehead. The pair of them are posed similarly to the characters on the "Back to the Future" movie posters - raising their eyewear and checking their watches - but boarding a classic Routemaster double-decker bus rather than the iconic DeLorean. Its wheels are on fire, and white light spills from the door. A bolt of lightning fills the sky in the background. At the top, a title reads, "Back to the Party" in the same typeface as the BTTF logo, while Iris Wildthyme's own logo forms a footer to the image.
I see that it is once again the anniversary of that time Doc, Marty, and Jennifer arrived in the exotic future of 2015. I didn't have any #BTTF #cosplay back then, but there is another time-traveller I regularly play - #IrisWildthyme - so a fun parody was created for the occasion.
I did dramatic readings from "The Blue Angel" on the most recent ep of the Pieces of Eighth podcast! It was delightful voicing Iris Wildthyme. Paul Magrs himself enjoyed it (see below) so I'll call that success!
