A Jersey Tiger Moth on a grey plastic fence that's textured to look like wood. The moth is about 3cm long. Its body and wings are beautifully patterned in black and cream like tiger stripes (hence the name, I guess!) apart from a flash of bright orange where they don't quite overlap down the body.

I found this beautiful Jersey Tiger Moth in my garden today. It's the first time I've ever seen one!
