The entire time preparing the yard for our #landscaping project, once I started working, while we all worked on it together, and now that it’s done, I have felt worry for these beauties. Last year I had 9 #prayingmantises of various breeds in my #garden. I hope they stayed safe during the project!
I spent almost three hours in the garden today! It was lovely!
I pruned the potentilla so it has space to grow even more this year. I completed 2 1/2 tasks on my gardening To-Do list for this week!

The fairy realm had a rock fall event during the landscaping project. The entire center of it (that lovely bed of stonecrop) has about 6 cups of rocks sitting on top of it. I hope I can salvage the plant. It is pretty hearty!

The final total for the landscaping project was $2,239.48. Not bad at all! Especially since we rented a dumpster and had a private locator for some of the utility locating done and got 30ish plants.
We didn’t have a budget but I was aiming for around $2,000!

The Mediterranean Pink plant in my garden always reminds me of heather. I planted it last year but it didn’t like where it was growing. I took the opportunity to move it to the circle of standing stones. I hope it likes its new home!

I slipped my nephew $100 because his mama roped him into the project. He worked HARD. 🤑 I’ll likely buy my brother a nice cigar & my sister plants as thank you gifts.
Total hours worked on the project = 63.25 in 4 days!

We finished laying down the rocks and putting in an in-ground barrier between our rocks and the neighbor’s grass by noon! I kept working to clean up and wheel the leftover rocks to our sweet new-ish neighbors.

The local company charged us for only 2 hours on the sod cutter rental even though we returned it near 3 hours.
I like parking close to the wheelbarrow.
The neighbor who’s never spoken to me but nods when he sees me in the garden stopped to chat about the project!
