Are these lenticular clouds? There were 2 when I first noticed, but smaller ones have popped up as I've watched. That is Mt Yonah on the horizon.

I lived in Nevada for five years, and we got them all the time in the Carson Valley. They're very cool-looking clouds. Ours weren't as stretched out. They often looked like a stack of pancakes. #LenticularClouds

Orographic Lenticular Atmospheric Wave Formation. Stationary lens-shaped clouds formed by laminar airflow oscillating over terrain-induced standing waves. Resulting condensation at wave crests produces stratified altocumulus lenticularis structures, often mistaken for unidentified aerial phenomena due to their symmetry and persistence.
