6-7 years ago, I bought a bunch of cactus seed packs. Both of these seedlings came from a packet labeled Peyote, but clearly one of them is not that. I still don't know what it is but it'll be three years old in November.

The smaller one has some damage from an insecticide I sprayed on it. It seems to be slowly improving though.

It's me.
I went to the annual Mulhall's #cactus & #succulent show this Saturday and won 1st place. I'm elated and honored.
I brought in my #Lophophora #jourdaniana potted up in a 6" Italian terra cotta pot that sadly #bloomed a day late.

Ein knubbeliger Kugelkaktus (lophophora williamsii). Die Knospe öffnet sich. Rund um die Blüte befinden sich vertrocknet fruchtkörper, aus den schwarze Körnchen fallen.

#Lophophora fricii double #bloom for today. The genes of this one come from a breeder in Japan. You can usually tell asian grown Lophs by their color and shape. Much more glaucous, plump and the tufts of #trichomes look like tight paint brush tips.

#Lophophora koehresii showing off today. No #flower buds in sight for quite awhile and then bam! Planted habitatstyle and overpotted to let these two grow up together. Been in my care for over a year now. Topdressing is crushed akadama /w dragonstone.

#Lophophora williamsii bloom for today. This one is a prolific bloomer and pod producer. #Glaucous is probably my favorite color, goes well with those pink petals. Love the trichome tufts too, so fluffy.
