Just found this exhausted #MagpieMoth #moth, picked it up and gave it a fingertip of water and it flew off #nature #kindness #Spring
Across its wingspan of 35-40 mm, the Magpie Moth has a distinctive and striking array of black and yellow spots on its creamy white wings. It is resting on a frond of Common Heather (aka Ling), which has lots of very small light purple flowers and tiny dark green leaves all the way up the stalk.
