We are enjoying the #MapMonday content from our colleagues in the IHTA, this week, the spotlight is on Armagh. Check out more below
Sorry for the belated #MapMonday post, but I was just so distracted by how poorly the liberation of Europe is going.

Extract from a US Army #map from 1959, showing Berlin and the surrounding area, including the occupation sector boundaries.
A conversation had elsewhere reminded us to point out this #MapMonday that whilst SABRE Maps does focus on #maps of Great Britain and Ireland, that we do have some historic mapping of elsewhere, for example, these lovely US Army maps of Europe from 1959. buff.ly/OWZtNQJ
The book this is based on is pretty meh, but I really love this interpretation of the premise. #MapMonday

Today’s #MapMonday is the one I had blown up so I could hang it on the wall in front of me when writing Thunder Run.
All the war diaries had the names of tiny villages the armour, motorised infantry and self-propelled artillery swept through, and this helped plot them all.

🧚 Silver Road 🌲
Travelling through the forest, you're told of a stretch of road deep within. One of strange makings and fantastical phenomenon - a home to the mystical and unusual. Tiny whispers and laughs just past the trees and brush are heard beyond the sapphire trees. #dnd #ttrpg #MapMonday

#MapMonday is here again! And with it, we bring a whole new #map layer - the Ordnance Survey One Inch Fifth Edition from 1940-41. Yes, civilian mapping continued to be produced well into World War 2, so here are three of those maps for your delectation and delight. buff.ly/B8p5Fcn

📌 Ukraine.
A country. A conflict. A story still unfolding.
#ThreeYearsonFire by Andrey Kurkov captures life of the Ukranian people under siege, as it happens.
Raw, urgent, and deeply human.
A must read!

Is #mapMonday still a thing..? Regardless - here's an interesting little spot just north of Bradwell in the #PeakDistrict along part of the Roman road heading from Buxton to the fort at Brough. Intrigued by the 'Site Of Eden Tree' ? @derbyshirearch.bsky.social (map from @natlibscot.bsky.social )

A Bostonian's Idea of The United States of America, which is grossly inaccurate and shows much of the country as vague "Western Prairies," while Boston is depicted larger than life.
This map captures a Bostonian’s view of the United States, where geographic accuracy steps aside for hometown confidence! The result is a revealing portrait of how regional pride reshapes the national landscape in its image. #MapMonday. https://myumi.ch/qZ3y3
