Drawing cats all month for #MeowMay has been especially meaningful to me because my family's 16-year-old cat won't be with us much longer. This drawing is an homage to all the elder cats in their sunset years, replete with love and wisdom.

KaKaokarte Rainbow Ruderboot Kartoffelkäferlarve An einem kleinen Steg liegt ein Ruderboot. Auf dem Steg krabbeln zwei Kartoffelkäferlarven. Im Hintergrund ist ein Regenbogen zu sehen. Unter dem Steg sieht man die Meerjungfraukatze wegschwimmen.
Zum Ende des Monats zeigt sich die Meerjungfraukatze noch einmal ganz. Schaut auf die Zeit zurück die vergangen ist. Danach schwimmt sie durch die letzte Szene und verschwindet im großen Meer.

KaKaokarte Sunset Meermensch Unterwegs Bei Sonnenuntergang spazieren zwei Schatten rechts am Strand entlang. Links im Wasser auf einem Felsen sitzt Arielle. Zu ihr scheimmt grade die Meerjungfraukatze. Diese schaut zu den zwei Menschen.
Ich mag es einfach. Hatte auch echt Spaß gemacht das zu zeichnen.

It's National Snail Day, and I happen to have a pet mystery snail! This solved my problem of being stuck on the "misty" prompt for #MeowMay 😅🐌
A vampire squid mercat. Six of its eight arms are visible, with paws on the ends and web between them. Its head is a large cute cat head with creepy blue eyes and two long whiskers that are like the feeding filaments of vampire squid. It is licking off one of the whisker filaments.
I did a mercat vampire squid like @charlenedraws.bsky.social for #meowmay! It's hardly cursed at all. Vampire squid use two long filaments to collect marine snow, which they then eat. Seemed natural to use whiskers for the same purpose!

KaKaokarte Misty Fernrohr Regenbogen Die Meerjungfraukatze schwimmt im dicken Nebel einem Regenbogen entgegen. Die Sicht ist aus einem Fernrohr. Man sieht also nur einen kreisförmigen Ausschnitt.
Das Bild für morgen gefällt mir besser. 😅
