A dead autumny leaf and old fruit of a linden tree on a small thin branch with a few fresh flower buds. The leaf and the branch are bright on a darker green background of the rest of the tree and some greenery behind it. The buds on out-of-focus branches make clear ring-like (“doughnut”) shapes characteristic of mirror lenses.
A pigeon sitting on a linden tree branch, viewed slightly from above, the pigeon’s head towards the viewer, turned slightly to the right (the pigeon’s left). In the out-of-focus areas small branches make some ring-like (“doughnut”) shapes. There’s decent amount of detail visible on the beak and around the eye of the pigeon.
Fun with #MirrorLens ЗМ-5А (ie. ZM-5A) 500 mm f/8, Soviet-era Russian reflex lens.
It’s very difficult to focus but it delivers (IMO) surprisingly sharp images if one manages to nail it and the light is OK.
Taken on Olympus E-M5 mk. III.
