Photo of a mock strawberry from my parent's yard. They just grow all over. Lol
Technically edible, but taste bland. They'll also have yellow flowers & grow straight upward unlike real strawberries. I think they're neat.

From a distance you might think these were very plump alpine strawberries but they are in fact fruit of Potentilla indica, mock strawberry. Little yellow flowers precede the fruits.
