Behind black iron railings is a monument, under one of the arches of the chancel of Southwark Cathedral is the monument to Alderman Richard Humble, and his two wives. Statues of Humble and his wives kneel in prayer under large canopy, flanked with Ionic columns and topped by coat of arms. Effigies of the Humble children, also kneeling in prayer, are shown on side of monument.
