Spring sports are in full swing for three of my kids, which means I have next to zero spare time to finish my Melt Ice hat. It’s also about to be in the high 80s-low 90s, which is not knit hat finishing weather for me. I need to find a few 20-minute pockets where I can bang it out. #mtiMAL

After one row of center single crochets I was about to quit. It’s either beyond my skill level, I got the wrong yarn, or both. Then I decided to modify to the sc and I’m starting to remember why I fell in love with crochet in the first place.

Makeshift markers can save you time, help you keep accurate count of your rowsScrap yarn or string is safest (wont snag), but other items can serve as well. Place markr every 5, 10, 20 rows as you prefer.
