#ResearchAdvent #4 My best conference experience was #NCTE23, as it was the first time that I realized my intersectional interests of secondary ed, YA lit, writing studies, & queer studies could all be valid & complimentary to each other. Surrounding myself w/ like-minded scholars filled me w/ joy.

#ncte23 and #alan were the first places I felt seen & valued as a scholar of #yalit who genuinely enjoys her FYC classes & misses being a classroom teacher. Being interdisciplinary is something valued & respected by these communities & I can’t articulate how much I cherish that.

I feel as if I might be a bit late, but starting to plan out my “schedule” at #NCTE23. I rarely end up where I think I will, but it’s fun to browse 📖

Excellent presentation! I enjoyed learning about the connections made between pop culture texts and texts in the canon. #NCTE23

#NCTE23 friends! Some of you asked me about virtual author visits for World Read Aloud Day - here's the info for this year!

I've never been to NCTE before, mainly because of scheduling conflicts. Loving #NCTE23 posts, am hoping to attend for FIRST TIME, in 2024 (Nov.21-24?).

Newbie question: Can a book creator register on their own? Or do I need to be an educator? I'll also ask my publisher, but am researching first.
