A Wood Pigeon sitting on the edge of a metal water container with a starling sat on the water next to it. The Pigeon is looking downwards at the Starling and the Starling is sat with it's head turned towards the pigeon. They look as it they are in conversation. 😂

A female American redstart perched on a thin wire among green leaves and above blurry brown woodchips. We're viewing the bird from the side and slightly above: we can see the gray head, olive-green back, and the yellow patches in the wings and the tail, which is slightly fanned.

I saw this lovely American redstart hopping around at ground level in Brooklyn Bridge Park. It then perched on a wire, #notonabranch, making it a suitable entry for @alan678.bsky.social's #BirdoftheDay.
