Our open text 'Academic Success' has been updated with four new chapters (Maths Foundations, First Nations Success, Postgraduate Study and Failing Assessment).

The question faculty should ask when considering an #opentextbook is not if they're AS GOOD as the commercial version, but rather whether they are SUFFICIENT. If the answer is 'yes', there's no defensible reason to burden students with the cost of buying a textbook.
I adopted the Steven Earle's Physical Geology (produced by the BC Open Textbook Project) this year. Just came across Chris Johnson's http://opengeology.org/textbook/ which is a great alternative. Pluses to both. Recommend you check them both out. #opentextbook #geology
