Quite a bit of #Chrysotile was extracted from the Jeffrey Mine, Quebec. It is located on a line of oceanic lithosphere attached to North America during the growth of the Appalachians.

#Pyroxenite composed of #chrome #diopside of the Jurassic-aged Great Valley #Ophiolite, Diablo Range, #California. #Lavas and #dikes there are mainly #calc-alkaline of island arc/forarc origin. Some samples more geochemically #MORB -like suggesting incipient rifting.

His project uses the #Masirah #ophiolite as a template, given that it formed at a true mid-ocean ridge. More papers to come!
