Today at the #OurEarth residency we talked a great deal about how artists and art are incompatible with Capitalism.
Meanwhile I have been making paint from ochre sourced from around my house and testing it. The house smells of delightful Australian-grown acacia gum I processed into Gum Arabic

Today at #OurEarth arts residency we had a presentation by Eco-toxicologist Prof Alan Kolok on plastics and plasticisers - depressing but more grist for our artistic mill.

I have decided on what I am going to do as the final work for the #OurEarth art residency. It will be incorporating this tree, local ochres that I will process into pigment, and drone footage. Now I have 5 weeks for research and to pull it off ;)
