Single mama (temporarily 😅) while hubby’s out of town. Found a local college student to help & it has been a total lifesaver.

She watched the kids, cleaned the house & even the guinea pig cage. If you can invest in a little help when you’re overwhelmed, it’s worth your sanity.

Hubby's going out of town & suddenly the house feels twice as chaotic. Full-time job, writing, school drop-offs, work, dinner, laundry, bedtime… all on one set of shoulders. I swear single parents are superheroes.

My son got a little Spark Award at school for doing a great job & being helpful. So proud of him. But wow—he was so shy up on stage in front of the class. Totally uncomfortable.

Last evening:

Son: "Mom, what are you making?"
Me: "Soup!"
Son: "What kind of soup?"
Me: "Lasagna soup."
