That did not materialize, and Dr. Nevin said that it didn’t materialize because it can’t be done and we should all agree he was right to close it. The ABoH was asked today what happened in Oct if no entity has agreed to take over the #PortHuron clinic, but received no answer. 3/6

This decision follows concerns raised during the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners meeting on Thursday, February 5th, 2026. During this period of suspension, students requiring urgent medical attention will be redirected to the SCCHD main campus, located at 220 Fort Street, Port Huron. Non-urgent appointments will be rescheduled for a later date. The temporary suspension is intended to allow for a comprehensive quality assurance and compliance review to ensure that all services provided by the Teen Health Clinic are in full adherence to applicable laws and regulations. This course of action has been jointly agreed upon by county administration and health department leadership. Dr. Remington Nevin, SCCHD Medical Director, stated, "The decision to temporarily pause services was made in the best interest of ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with all relevant regulations. This review will help us address any concerns and continue to provide quality healthcare services to the community."
