Continuous hang #powerCleans after building up to a #MaxEffort mid-thigh single of 160, and then worked off that in the continuous fashion for backdowns of 125x2x8.
Tried kind of a form reset on these continuous hang #powerCleans by building up to a #MaxEffort mid-thigh single with good "audible feet," which was only a piddly 155, and then worked the continuous fashion as backdowns at 77% for 120x7 and 8 reps.
Back to back strength and mobility session today. I know I am going to sleep today like itโs no oneโs business ๐ฌ

Finally back to where I was and then some with these continuous hang #powerCleans for 135x7 on this second set (both performed after submax ascending triples from the floor). I'm not doing them as often as I was and had to deload a bit during my bout of elbow tendonitis, but this is a two rep PR.

Not terribly heavy yet, but I'm really loving this style of continuous hang #powerCleans. I typically don't do more than triples when I do cleans from the floor, but fahves suit this style just fine.
Knee's healed such that I'm finally back to doing this continuous version of hang #powerCleans. While I did dial back the weight by ten pounds, I took advantage of the high tempo afforded by this variation to do fahves instead of my usual triples and liked the reps well enough that I'll stick it out
Lot's of #powerCleans and rowing lined up tomorrow, to include this hang variation on the former that I've allowed to replace high pulls in order to get more specific work on the clean and hopefully get a little less gunshy.

Siouxsie 'n #powerCleans here on the first pull day of the modified PPL. Lots of #rows coming up, but first #highPulls and a circumstantial second session of #barbellCurl, and after rows I cap it off with the more forearm-centric work of #reverseCurls as well as finger and #wristCurls.
That last tip of his about doing full #cleans even if doing #powerCleans (catching high as in the power variation but sinking it into a squat) is something I've begun to adopt, though for now mainly in my warmups to get my knees warmed up.
Nothing quite breaks the ice on a training session quite like #powerCleans. I can start out feeling pretty low energy and like I haven't an ounce of the requisite aggression to manhandle heavy weight like that, and then I'm suddenly catching the damned thing with locked knees and having to dial back
#powerCleans have proved uniquely hit or miss for me since my cut--going from apparently being on track to being incredibly gunshy even at submaximal weights--but I must say one thing that's unexpectedly restored my nerve is simply allow myself drop the bar upon set completion...
#powerCleans, #highPulls, and then flys and curls on rings today. Tomorrow I finish out the microcycle with mostly overhead work and heavy squats. So far so good on this second round of the new protocol, then I have to decide on whether to take one or two days rest before my bench and deads day.
