In May, 2020 a Sandhill Crane enters the frame, flying right to left. The background is deeply wooded and two deer graze in a farmer's field at the bottom of the frame.
This Golden-winged Warbler did NOT cooperate but I was able to reveal some its beauty in post-production. Taken in Central Park, NYC in August 2018. This little migrant gave me about 3 seconds to shoot this silhouette.
For the #BirdOfTheDay themes, I have #RareEncounters with a crane and a bad photo of a rare #Warblers. The 1st photo documents the most recently reported sighting of a Sandhill Crane in my county. That's 6 years ago! The 2nd kicked off a dash of NYC birders flocking to the spot of the sighting.
