Spotted this Dipper while out filming in Teesdale this morning. Dipper are Britain's only aquatic songbird. It's a beautiful song if you are lucky enough to be able to hear it above the sound of the river.

Peg Powler is a Water Witch who inhabits the River Tees. Her speciality is dragging children into the water if they get too close to the edge. This foam which floats on the Tees water is called "Peg Powler's suds" and occurs naturally when Peg has been doing her washing.
