A single sock in the process of being knit. The sock is cuff down and knitting has gotten as far as the foot. The sock yarn is Cascade’s Heritage Prints in a variegated pink and purple color which makes its own striped patterning. Above the sock is a skein of the yarn. Red needle tips prevent the yarn from slipping off the needles. The sock and yarn are on a light cream background.
For my current socks, I’m experimenting with small circs. I’m trying several combinations of 2” and 3” tips. I love how much faster they work up, but the needles still feel weird in my hands. Holding off on any final judgements until I’m finished with both socks. 🧶 #showmeyourknits

#showmeyourknits sock week🧶
You all inspired me to knit my first pair and now I’m starting my second pair … still scared 🫣
My outstretched feet with pastel socks in pinks and greens pulled over teal tights. The heels and toes are lavender, and the legs and the tops of the feet have a slipped stitch pattern that breaks the reverse stockinette stripes into little bricks. The inner edges of my feet show a bit of the stockinette sole, where the unadorned self-striping pattern in the yarn is visible; six colors of stripes with single rounds of grey in between the stripes.
My feet in the same socks stretching up to the sky, because it was a pretty blue sky flecked with clouds and I was feeling silly. The socks go part way up my calves, a fairly typical sock height. The 1 by 2 ribbing at the cuffs lines up with the slipped stitch design. The patterns I based these on are linked in my previous work-in-progress post.
I’m getting a bit bolder about incorporating socks into my outfits. On this day, I wore these socks with the teal tights, orange and brightest blue flowered dress, and blue and pink and metallic gold brocade-and-leather Fluevog boots with the neon orange laces and soles shown here. Only an inch or two of sock protrudes from the top of each boot. The socks don’t match, but also they do.

I finished these knit #socks. I’m quite pleased with the experiment, and might use this improvised Frankenpattern again. It’s the perfect season for the Spring Forward color way.

A crochet sweater in progress. The sweater is worked from the top down, in a gradient yarn that goes from bright pink to dark purple to medium purple. The second sleeve is now finished.

For #ShowMeYourKnits sock week... here is how I wrap up handknit socks for gift-giving. 🎁🧶
What do you think? Too extra? Or just extra enough?
Cesca’s hand holds a hand-knit toe of a toe-up sock. The toe is knit in a lilac coloured yarn. The bottom half of the picture is dominated by an off- white project bag with a hand stitched flower design embroidered on it. The rest of the picture shows a blurry park lit by the setting sun. Pattern: improvised / my own Yarn: Woollentwine Ovis Sock
🧶 Two weeks ago I took a solo trip. Of course I brought multiple orijects to work on. This was the beginning of my sock project. The one I carried around with me all day, and knit at everywhere, including this park that I enjoyed watching the sun set from. Joyful moments. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky
Obsessing about knitting one or several of these shawls, because it looks like the warmest hug in woolly form. Off to check the stash. #knitting #knitsky #ShowMeYourKnits

Four socks in various stages of toe up and a pesto green ball of yarn on a windowsill On the outside, flowers in pink, yellow and orange (don't know their names in English)
Since it's #wipWednesday, I'll show my sock wips for #showmeyourknits, though rn they are more UFOs than wips 😅
Cameo appearance: the screws I want to use on my loft bed once I get around to raising it. And flowers, of course
Woo! My favorite sock designer is having a sale all month! Just in time for #ShowMeYourKnits sock week!🧶🧦
Pair of partially knit socks in a mishmash of reds, bright pink, pale pink, deep purple, and various hues of green and blue.
Current pair. I was envisioning a subtle speckled? marbled? effect but it turned out more like jolly clown socks 😂 Design is not my forte! But am having fun 😆 🧶
#showMeYourKnits
Orange socks with stripes of blue, green, light blue and red. There's a subtle lace pattern on the legs - I think these are the "Monkey" socks.
Basic ribbed socks in rust, gold, purple, teal, dark green, and cream stripes. Yes, I know the ribbing is different on the 2 legs - took many people a long time to see the difference when I posted these on Facebook.
quite possibly the last socks I'll ever knit for my husband as he refuses to wear them because they are "too nice". Preppy red, gold, blue, navy stripes on a pale gray background.
Zigzag pattern socks in reg with blue, green, and yellow. Yarn is Wildfoote, I think it's the Symphony colorway.
Socks - always have several going, at least 1 in my bag at all times. I tend to finish several first socks before going back to knot the 2nd sock - no second sock syndrome!
Just a few of the 50+ pairs in my sock drawer at the moment.

Hand-knit color-work socks with a blue background and rows of chickens in alternating colors of light gray, brown, and charcoal. The cuffs and toes of the sock are yellow, and the heels are red.
I see that #showmeyourknits is socks!
These ones are my proudest accomplishment so far, but I do love a good vanilla sock.
This is the Herding Hens pattern from Stone Knits, knit up in KP Palette. They were a Xmas gift for my sweetie.

I knitted this Lopi jumper for my Dad many years ago. Even though he's sadly no longer with us, the jumper is still gong strong and has become my favourite item to wear whilst gardening. Perfect for this time of year as it even keeps the wind out!

So for craft club tonight, it'll be my sock getting taken along. The first rule of craft club is don't take anything that will require concentration as you'll chat/laugh too much and lose count of the pattern and stitches!

Colourful hand knit ankle height socks on black wire sock blockers are laid out. The sole is striped in turquoise with multiple greys, then fuchsia with multiple greys. The top and back have a broken seed stitch pattern that on closer inspection resembles lines of scales in a contrast colour on a unicoloured background. It’s hard to see in the picture because it isn’t a close of up of the fabric, but the scale patter is switched between the socks. One sock has turquoise lines on a grey background while the other has grey lines on a turquoise background. Pattern: Improvised Yarn: Ovis et Cetera Igneae Countdown Calendar scraps
🧶 #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky I finished these scrappy socks two weeks ago. I’ve loved the 2-colour broken seed stitch fabric ever since I first saw it. Since I most often knit colourwork socks, gauge is always a bit tricky on other socks. These were no exception. Now please let me wear them, weather.
