Is ‘consent’ something bad? Something good? …What do I even gain by learning human ideas? Are they trying to turn me into one of them? Is that even possible?

Pixies! no AI, ~only fae~ for hibiren's slime!Ghost AU 2/2026 (A pink and blue pixie with a wasp-like body on the top right corner takes up most of the right side of the landscape image. It has a humanoid body, wasp wings, three-fingered hands and point-tipped feet (no toes, just tapered points). They have two white-blue feathered antennae at the top of their head.) Slimefruit Shapes :) by hibiren for slime!Ghost AU 2/2026 [8 colorful pastel "fruit" are shown over a dark blue background for contrast. All are drawn in pink pencil, colored in with pastels in varying shades.] "Infinity" shape: resembles the "figure 8" infinity symbol. It is multicolored with yellow, green and blue tints. "Pearl Chain" shape: resembles a chain of pearls, clumped tightly together and dangling. Each pearl is a different shade; some are yellow, green, blue, or pink. Galaxy Slimeshrooms: their main functions are for shade & as humidity control. The umbrella of the mushroom can expand into a "protective bubble" over a slime beneath it for comfort and solitude, and slimes are very comfortable inside them.➡️

Slimeflora / concept by hibiren <3 2/2026 / for my slime!Ghost AU (I tried... lol... drawing is hard y'all) "Pine" Slime (with fruit) On the far left, a pine-tree-like sketch with pinkish, curling needles and a green trunk. Several varying sizes of pear-like fruit adorn the branches and are mostly yellow, with colorful designs in pink and green. [black background, white text] through and past hell hibiren Summary: After all that they went through together last night, the reports of Ghost being hostile to any human contact suddenly made no sense—he went from reading reports of injured guards and medical staff and fearing his own imminent harm, to realizing that Ghost was only reactive because he was scared… Johnny had been able to put his hands on, and at times his fingers inside Ghost at one point (to help free a stuck egg) all because he, as any fae researcher should, initiated the entire night on the premise of Ghost’s consent. Were those reports really telling the truth, or was something being omitted? Something was definitely wrong. Ghost was gentle when he wasn’t fearing for his life at the hands of someone he couldn’t trust or that he feared and Johnny knew it. And all that progress with Johnny was just after one night of telling Ghost he had a say in his care. Hopefully Zenith wouldn’t hinder that progress in any way, but there was only one path to go down to make that happen—direct confrontation.

He flipped it open and didn’t bother checking the caller before answering groggily, “…h’llo?” “Mr. MacTavish.” Zenith’s voice was calm, as if he were making a phone call at midday and not… four in the morning?? Christ. “Aye?” Johnny answered, suddenly feeling wide awake. Zenith’s icy tone settled over him like a frigid blanket, chilling him to the bone. He had to sit upright and raise the lightswitch slider at his bedside to a dim glow to help himself stop shaking. The mountain projection outside still showed a nighttime view of the moon and bright stars, and the outlines of trees below them splayed out like dark ink jagged across the horizon. The faintest trickle of red began to bleed through the trees and instead of beautiful, Johnny found it unsettling. Like a premonition and a warning instead of a nice display. “Usually I don’t call outside business hours, however this is something my secretary forgot to mention to you yesterday, and that was just brought to my attention. We have our first face-to-face meeting later this morning and I know this should go without saying, but I expect you to wear something formal to the meeting. That is, I’m assuming you have brought something formal along with you. If you do not have appropriate clothing, I will order something for you and have it delivered to your room before we have our conversation. I am a professional, after all—and so are you, when we meet.”

Slimes are immortal, with limits.

When a slime is injured or sick beyond a point of self-healing but is within a suitable climate, they can "cycle" themselves a new body. It's a temporary death/metamorphosis.➡️

The diagram Zenith had sent him was accurate, in that regard. The size of him, too, was fairly accurate—though Ghost was definitely bigger in person. He was so large and spread out across the full surface of the table, Johnny wondered exactly what his full height might be, or if he’d grown since his ‘height’ was last noted in his medical chart. He was bigger than Johnny, that much was obvious. Johnny dared to take another step closer, and Ghost hissed, but didn’t take those golden eyes off of him. He was mesmerizing. Beautiful.

Pouches/Eggs/Seeds/etc

Slime pouches store a slime's developing eggs/seeds. If planted in a proper environment, the egg "seeds" become slimefruit plants, which serve as their main source of food/nutrients. Slimes need regular access to clean water➡️

Ghost is feeling particularly lethargic one morning, and Johnny asks what's wrong. Ghost says he's struggling to remember his hive and his nesting grounds, so Johnny offers to help.➡️

It is impossible to examine him, as he is becoming resistant to sedation and is highly reactive to any staff that attempt to assist him. I would rather not lose any additional staff if I can avoid it. Hiring is expensive and needlessly risky in this line of work. I am running out of options. Your expertise is necessary, even though I despise requesting assistance outside my usual network for reasons I’m sure you understand. Because I am pressed for time, I will pay you whatever you ask (within reason, of course), and purchase whatever equipment you deem necessary to ensure Ghost’s stability. I have attached some basic reference documents regarding Ghost to this email, for your benefit: his current known medical history, photographs and scans of his internal and external biology, and a list of his known defensive/offensive behaviors so you know what to expect when you arrive. Please respond to this email with an acceptance or refusal of my offer. Lack of response within 48 hours will be considered a refusal. A word of warning, I don’t enjoy being turned down. If you don’t accept the offer for me, do it for Ghost. As far as I’m aware, he is the only slime left in the region. His hive was destroyed after roving faehunters cleared the territory and harvested all remaining flora. I am determined to ensure his species does not go extinct. It would be a pity. He has gold "freckles" and his internal slime is expressive/reactive like carbonation or soda fizz :) *as Ghost gets healthier, more of his golden freckles/bubbles are visible. When he bubbles a lot, he's either excited or blushing. Various notes as follows: golden, glowy eyes "skull" faceplate/underlayer beneath outer slime "floating" bone *Slime's outer layers can turn acidic as a defense mechanism. Depending on the strength, it can melt clothes, skin, and even bones or (certain types of) metal When the eggs are ready, the pouch splits open and the eggs are released into the internal slime to prepare to exit the body via the slime's slit/cloaca/ovipositor (depending on the individual slime's anatomy) -- Ghost has a slit, and does not (as far as anyone knows) have an ovipositor. Slime biology is flexible, and fairly adaptive **when the slime is healthy**

The Pouch :) (pouch seam, usually not visible, for ref) the pouch expands to resemble a "pregnancy" and will stretch Ghost's belly in a similar way

Slime!Ghost concept art as drawn (poorly haha) by hibiren. Ghost's body is dark grey. His eyes are golden. His signature skull mask is incorporated into the design by its inclusion as a chipped fragment of what appears to be a human skull that covers his face. Several bones of varying sizes scatter across his body in a vaguely humanoid structure. Think "gelatinous cube" monster style. Ghost's egg pouch is a darker grey and contains golden/glowy eggs inside it; it is roughly cantaloupe-size in this particular rendering, indicating the eventual growth of eggs inside it meaning he's early in his egg cycle. The pouch sits low between his hips, close in location to where a human uterus would be. Inside the pouch, the eggs are bunched tightly together. They are squishy and flexible unless Ghost becomes eggbound, in which case they begin to calcify and become extremely painful/difficult to lay if the pouch seam can't split wide enough to accommodate the harder "shells" of the calcified eggs.
