Page 33 of the Star Boy Origins graphic novel by StarBoyWebcomics posted April 12, 2026. Frame 1: Standing with Dwyn in her kitchen, Star Boy stares cross-eyed in the general direction of his stomach, having just eaten a rock. “It doesn't taste good like apples,” he observes. “No, it wouldn't,” Dwyn agrees, watching with keen interest. “Any other observations?” “It kinda feels like it's just sitting there.” Frame 2: “Hmm,” Dwyn says. “Very interesting. I'll make a note to check in about it later.” “Then you're going back to your tinkering?” Star Boy asks, looking a little disappointed. “Yes,” Dwyn says. “Science doesn't do itself!” Frame 3: Time break. “See you after work!” Dwyn says, walking past Star Boy watching Draconic Orb Zed on the TV. But Star Boy isn't watching the show; he's peeking over the back of the couch, watching as Dwyn leaves. Frame 4: Outside the basement stairs, we see a rainbow as Star Boy fwooshes into the sky. Frame 5: Wearing a baseball cap balanced on the point of his head, Star Boy fwooshes down on a rainbow, landing on Zephyr's balcony. Frame 6: “Zephyr!” Star Boy calls, standing by the table surrounded by beanbag chairs, Zephyr's creepy wardrobe lurking in the background. “I'm here for adventures!” Frame 7: “Zephyr...?” Star Boy asks, searching over by the wardrobe and hat rack with the bowler. “Maybe they aren't home today.” The cat Your Gracious Majesty is lurking on top of the wardrobe. Frame 8: “Huh,” Star Boy says, the wardrobe catching his eye as he turns around. “I wonder why Zephyr told me not to open the wardrobe. Surely one little peek couldn't hurt.” The cat watches from atop the wardrobe.

Frame 1: Dwyn descends the stairs into her basement home, saying over her shoulder to Star Boy, “I'll need to make them more stable first. The important part right now is that the theory works.” Frame 2: Inside, putting the device on a table, Dwyn says to Star Boy, “I still wish there was a way to outright store the energy you produce. For now, direct conversion will have to be enough.” Frame 3: Star Boy goes to the kitchen and starts eating from a bowl of apples. “Are you feeling more tired than usual?” Dwyn asks from off screen. “No,” Star Boy replies, “Just hungrier than usual.” Frame 4: “You eat a lot of apples,” Dwyn says, joining Star Boy in the kitchen. “Do you actually need the nutrients from them?” “I don't know. Why?” “Just curious.” Frame 5: “I've been wondering what would happen if you ate a rock,” Dwyn says, proffering a rock. “... A rock?” Star Boy asks. “Yes,” Dwyn says. “Would it incinerate? Would it sustain you longer? Would it have no impact?” Frame 6: “I guess there's no harm in trying,” Star boy says, taking the rock while Dwyn watches with interest. Frame 7: Star Boy slowly opens his mouth to eat the rock while Dwyn continues to watch. Frame 8: Star Boy stares cross-eyed in the general direction of his stomach, which gurgles. “Well?” Dwyn asks, still watching with interest.

Dwyn explains, “It's just a transistor, though I suppose it could also be called a transducer... You know what? It'll be easier to show you. Let's bring it outside. I need to test if it actually works, anyway.” Frame 2: Standing outside Dwyn's house, Star Boy wears the cuff, which is attached by a wire to the controller on Dwyn's belt, which in turn has wires to the oblongs on her feet. “Alright,” Dwyn says, “Time to switch it on. If I did everything right...” Frame 3: Dwyn's hair becomes yellow and spiky as yellow beams from the oblongs on her feet lift her into the air. “W-woah!” she says. “You're flying!” Star Boy says, looking surprised and delighted. Frame 4: “Yes, but...” Dwyn says, suddenly closer to an alarmed Star Boy. “It's harder to control than I expected... This might take some practice.” Frame 5: Dwyn flies back the other way, saying, “Easy does it...! Aaaand ease off the power...” Star Boy watches in admiration. Frame 6: “Wow!” Dwyn says, on the ground again. “That was even more fun than I expected!” Frame 7: “That was really cool, but Dwyn...” Star Boy says as Dwyn fixes her hair that has the yellow fading out of it. “How does making YOU fly help ME get off Earth?” Frame 8: “It's a test for future projects!” Dwyn explains, her hair back to normal. “It has proven some of my methods for controlling your power. And, in theory, these could boost your flying power enough to escape our gravity.”

Zephyr's cat is climbing onto a vacant beanbag chair, and Zephyr's creepy wardrobe lurks in the background. “By going on adventures!” Zephyr says. “Explore shops, try on new hats.” Frame 2: “If you're very bold, you could even try making your own,” Zephyr continues. “All that is for another day, of course. Today, I'd love to hear YOUR story!” The cat extends a paw towards the teapot. Frame 3: “Oh, sure!” Star Boy says. “It all started when...” Star Boy's next speech bubble contains page 1 of this comic. The cat begins pushing the teapot. Frame 4: “Oh, wow!” Zephyr says. “And then...” Star Boy says, followed by page 11 of this comic. The cat has pushed the teapot slightly over the edge of the table. Frame 5: “Well, you were right,” Zephyr says, absentmindedly moving the teapot back onto the table before it falls. “Most people need people.” “But how do I manage that?” Star boy asks, butting his tea down. “By coming on adventures with me!” Zephyr declares. Frame 6: “Now that you know where I live, you can come visit me whenever you want,” Zephyr says, standing up. “But Dwyn...” Star Boy says. “Yes...” Zephyr says. “Normally I advocate for communication, but in this case...” Frame 7: “I think we need to gather enough evidence to prove to that scientific mind that the hats work,” Zephyr says. “Then I should probably get home before she's done work,” Star Boy says, standing up. “I heartily agree!” Zephyr says. Frame 8: Star Boy fwooshes away on a rainbow from Zephyr's balcony while the cat and Zephyr watch from inside, Zephyr saying, “Huh. Well, it's faster than the stairs.”

Some people don't want to.” Frame 7: “So, then, what hat would suit me?” Star Boy asks while Zephyr sits down with some tea on another beanbag chair. The cat returns in the background. “I have no idea!” Zephyr says. “Think how much fun it will be to experiment and find out!” Frame 8: “I think the trick will be finding one that fits your head properly,” Zephyr continues as Star Boy takes some tea. “Hats tend to be made for round heads that won't poke out the top.” “And where do I find this hat?” Star Boy asks.

I can see where that might be a problem in your case.” Frame 2: “Maybe not no hat,” Zephyr says, stepping back and giving Star Boy finger-crossbows, “But we definitely need to find the right hat for you.” Star Boy asks, “What's wrong with my hat?” Frame 3: “There's nothing wrong with it, per se,” Zephyr says, resuming their walk. “It's more that it would suit an anime character better than you. You really need something that doesn't lose its shape upon coming in contact with your head.” Frame 4: “Maybe I should try a hat like yours?” Star Boy suggests. “Hmm...” Zephyr says thoughtfully. “I don't think it's quite right for you. But you can certainly try it on.” Frame 5: “Once we're somewhere without innocent bystanders, of course,” Zephyr says, stopping outside a large building. “Ah, here we are!” Frame 6: “Wow!” Star Boy exclaims, following Zephyr up some stairs. “Your house is huge!” “Haha!” Zephyr says. “No, the whole thing isn't mine.” Frame 7: “Only the bit behind this door,” Zephyr says, indicating a door labelled 1837. Frame 8: “Come in!” Zephyr says, leading the way into an apartment with a hat rack (holding Star Boy's white-banded black bowler) and a creepy looking wardrobe. “Make yourself at home! But, whatever you do, don't open the wardrobe.” “Why not?” Star Boy asks. “Just trust me,” Zephyr replies.

Many of them are just pretending, so they can fit in and be accepted. So, I'm a little sad about that.” Frame 2: Ooookay...” Dwyn says, guiding Star Boy over to the couch and TV. “I think you've been spending too much time alone. I could probably use a night off from inventing, anyway. Come and watch while I play Draconic Era.” Frame 3: “...” Star Boy says, watching Dwyn play a game. “Is that dwarf named...?” “Yes,” Dwyn says. “I don't want to talk about it.” Frame 4: “So, Dwyn...” Star Boy says. “Yes, Sparkles?” “Remember when I suggested that maybe wearing a disguise would let me go out and be around people?” Frame 5: Dwyn sighs, saying, “I already told you it wouldn't work.” “But I-” Star Boy begins, while Dwyn continues over him, “I know you want to go out, see the world, and meet people, but you need to be sensible about this.” Frame 6: “I already-” Star boy tries, but Dwyn cuts him off, saying, “Firstly, you're a star. There's no way anyone could miss that, no matter how good your disguise is.” “What about-” Star Boy tries, but it's no use. “Secondly, even if you could find a way to pass for human, there will always be more observant people who will see through it.” Frame 7: “And you know what happens if you get spotted, right?” Dwyn presses. “Black suits and dark sunglasses,” Star Boy says. “We don't want that, do we?” Dwyn asks. Frame 8: “Of course not!” Star Boy says. “Exactly!” says Dwyn. “I know it's hard, but we have to keep you safe. So I don't want to hear another word about it, okay?” Star Boy gives in, saying, “... Yes, Dwyn...”

Dwyn's eyes can be seen in a completely dark frame. “I'm home! Sparkles...? I didn't see him outside... Sparkles, where are you!?” Frame 5: “I'm right here,” Star Boy says, peeking out from under a blanket and shedding light everywhere. Frame 6: “What are you doing under there?” Dwyn asks. “Ok, I'm just, uh...” Star Boy says, “Playing with the photons.” Frame 7: “... Frame 9: Light fills the frame with another swish as Star Boy peeks out from under the blanket again with an unhinged smile, saying, “Dance, little photons! Dance!”

So, I try to be efficient with what I have. Some day I hope to live somewhere much bigger – with my own lab, if I can manage it!” Frame 2: Dwyn begins measuring Star Boy. “Alright, let's get your measurements,” she says. “Then I'll see if I can calculate your mass and gravitational force.” Frame 3: “How did you end up falling to Earth, anyway?” Dwyn asks, turning away to write on the chalkboard. “Oh, well, you know,” Star Boy replies. “I saw this pretty blue and green planet, and wanted closer look. I think you're too small to escape Earth's gravity now, even if we found a method to get you enough inertia. Seeing how you were pulled in before, you may have already been too small before you fell.” Frame 6: “Does that mean I really am stuck here forever?” Star Boy asks, tears in his eyes. “Oh, Sparkles, no!” Dwyn says, rushing over to comfort him. “At least, not necessarily. We humans are too clever for our own good, and we send things into space all the time. I'm sure that, with enough study, we can find a way to get you back where you're supposed to be.” Frame 7: “Come over here,” Dwyn says, smiling again as she leads Star Boy away from the chalkboard. “Where are we going?” Star Boy asks, still looking a little sad. “I think the internet may have b…

Frame 1: Star Boy follows Dwyn to where she puts her laptop down on a table beside a chalkboard. “You have a lot of stuff in here,” Star Boy comments. “Yeah,” Dwyn replies. “I know it's a lot for such a small space, but I can't afford a bigger place. But it was bigger than I thought, and I got caught in its gravity.” Frame 4: “Hmm...” Dwyn says, continuing her writing. “So the gravitational pull was already too strong for you. Let's see... Page 7 of the Star Boy Origins graphic novel by StarBoyWebcomics posted October 12, 2025. Frame 1: Dwyn removes diodes from Star Boy while he looks at a computer. “This is incredible,” Dwyn says. You are producing a massive amount of energy, like I would expect a star to, yet it isn't being released in a way that harms the environment around you. I wonder if all stars are like this, or if you're an anomaly.” Frame 2: “We could ask my Cousin Sol,” Star Boy suggests. “Uh, who?” Dwyn asks. “Cousin Sol,” Star Boy explains. “Your sun. He's the closest star to us.” Frame 3: “Are you telling me that you're related to the sun?” Dwyn asks. “Well, no, not really,” Star Boy says, turning from the computer to face Dwyn. “It's more like stars consider ourselves to be distantly related because we were all birthed by the same universe.” “And stars can talk to each other?” Dwyn asks. “Of course we can talk!” Star Boy says. Frame 4: “You're saying you know the sun on a first-name basis?” Dwyn asks thoughtfully. “Well, no,” Star Boy admits. “I've never actually met him. I only know his name from your internet. Stars don't actually have names. We don't have time for them.” Frame 5: “... No time for names,” Dwyn says. “Right,” says Star Boy. “Because ususally we're moving so fast that by the time we finish saying hello we're on the other side of the solar system. Adding a name to that would be a little silly. Especially because we'll probably never see each other again.” Frame 6: “If I'm completely honest,” Star Boy says as Dwyn returns to cleaning up her laptop and diodes, “I don't even know if Cousin Sol identifies as a 'he'. It just seemed the appropriate choice aligning with your society's strange predispositions.” “If star conversations are so short, how can you ask Sol if you're just like other stars?” Dwyn asks. “I was thinking I could have a prolonged conversation if I could get into orbit around him,” Star Boy says. Frame 7: “Huh,” Dwyn says, her laptop now under her arm. “Tha…

Frame 1: Dwyn's eyes are all that is visible in a completely dark frame, saying, “Just wait there for a moment. I know it's bad design, but the light switch is on the other side of the room. Ouch!” Frame 2: Star Boy enters the room, lighting it up. He says, “Are you okay, Dwyn?” Holding her knee with a pained expression, Dwyn replies, “Yeah, I'm fine. It happens all the time.” Frame 3: “Woah!” Dwyn says, surprised as she realises that Star Boy is shedding the light filling the room. “You really brighten up a room. You'll never have to worry about electricity bills.” Frame 4: Dwyn leads Star Boy into her home, saying, “Come over here and I'll introduce you to the internet.” “Who is the Internet?” Star Boy asks. Frame 5: Star Boy is brought to a computer. Dwyn explains, “The internet isn't a who, it's a what. It's kinda like a faerie realm. It's full of strange people to whom you should never give your real name, there's an excess of inexplicable things, and there are parts of it you should avoid at all cost. However, it is also a repository for pretty much all the knowledge in the world, which means you can use it to learn all about Earth and the people here.” Frame 6: Dwyn approaches Star Boy with a pair of electrodes. Star Boy is at the computer saying, “Aww, look at all the kitties!” Dwyn says, “Yes, well, I was hoping you'd find something a bit more educational than pet videos. Don't mind me; I'm just attaching some electrodes to take some readings from you. Frame 7: Dwyn sits on the floor working on a laptop with wires leading to the electrodes on Star Boy, who is grinning at the computer singing, “Badger, badger, badger, badger...” “Like I said, inexplicable,” Dwyn says. “Just like you. A star should be hot enough to melt these electrodes, yet you're more like an ordinary person.” Frame 8: Star Boy stares at Dwyn with an expression best described as mentally scarred. “Dwyn...” he says. “Dwyn, the internet is a bad place.” “Yes,” Dwyn replies. “I did warn you.”

Frame 1: Star Boy, his cheeks stuffed with apples, follows Dwyn, saying, “Are there more apples on this not-so-little green and blue planet?” “We call it Earth,” Dwyn replies. “And yes, we have lots of apples. Many other delicious things, too.” Frame 2: “Maybe being stuck on this “Earth” isn't so bad after all,” Star Boy says. “Don't get me wrong,” Dwyn says. “Not everything here is good. The place is full of horrible people who just want to use you for their own ends, then throw you away once they're done with you.” Frame 3: Star Boy pauses and turns as a sleazy-looking person addresses him. “Excuse me! Did it hurt?” Star Boy replies, “Did what hurt?” The sleazebag continues, “Did it hurt when you fell from the heavens?” Frame 4: The sleazebag looks surprised and confused as Star Boy replies, “... Yes. Quite a lot, actually. Thank you for asking.” Frame 5: Sleazebag wonders, “Why didn't it work...?” as he turns his back to consult a book titled, “101 Pickup Lines That Always Work” Star Boy returns to following Dwyn, who is saying, “Are you coming, Sparkles?” “Yup! I'm right here!” Star Boy replies. Frame 6: Hey, that person wasn't afraid of me!” Star boy says with joy at the realisation. Frame 7: Don't get too excited,” Dwyn warns. Just because someone is willing to talk to you doesn't mean they're nice.” “You're nice,” Star Boy points out. Dwyn replies, “Well, yes, but not everyone is. I've lost count of how many people I thought were friends turned on me or abandoned me once they had what they wanted. You have to be careful who you trust.” Frame 8: Star Boy and Dwyn arrive at a house. Dwyn gestures to an open cellar door with stairs down into a basement saying, “Here we are! Home sweet home.”

Page 4 of the Star Boy Origins graphic novel posted by StarBoyWebcomics posted September 21, 2025. Frame 1: Star Boy is talking to the person with glasses and a ponytail, who is saying, “What were the results you anticipated?” “Well, I was hoping to get back into space to continue my tour of the universe,” Star Boy replies. “I don't understand – I don't usually have this much trouble flying. I feel... depleted. Smaller than usual.” Frame 2: “Fascinating! Maybe you actually are smaller,” Glasses-and-ponytail says. “What? How?” Star Boy asks. “Well, meteoroids entering the atmosphere experience ablation, causing them to vaporise and fragment. Only 5-10% of them survive, and those that do lose up to 90% of their mass,” she explains. “Based on your size, I would estimate you only had a 20% chance to survive your descent.” Star Boy gulps. Frame 3: “Or maybe you just ran out of power,” she continues. “Come back to my place. You can rest and eat some food, and I'll run some tests. Perhaps we can find a way to help you.” “Oh. Okay.” Star Boy says. “Thanks.” “I'm Dwyn, by the way,” says Glasses-and-Ponytail. Frame 4: Star Boy is following Dwyn, who is singing, “Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket...” “Hey, Dwyn?” Star Boy says. “Yes, Sparkles?” Dwyn replies. “What's that think on your face?” Star Boy asks. “Hm? Oh!” Dwyn reaches up to touch her glasses. “These are my glasses. Some people need them to see better, but I just think they make me look smart. Mostly I wear them to distinguish myself from the background characters.” Frame 5: Oh. Then should I wear glasses too?” Star Boy asks. Dwyn thoughtfully contemplates Star Boy, who is a star with a face, then the ordinary stick-figure people in the next frame, before saying, “Nah, I think you're fine without them.” Frame 6: A group of stick figures are gathered around a pushcart full of apples.
