Two brown butterflies face away from each other with interlaced, sword-like tails forming an X. On the right, one looks at you with a large brown eye underlined with white. Pointing up, triangular forewings are edged with white and decorated with darker bands against white bands and spots. Hind wings have 4-5 rectangular dark spots, some with white edges. Legs of both joined animals grasp green rounded leaves.

Watering on a sunny December day, you startle up something that appears to be a Long-Tailed Skipper—but too big and too slow. When it lights, all comes clear.
