I present 2/10 of the first wave of Care Bear characters. From the original crew that started it all, here's the leader of the pack, Tenderheart Bear! The fur color I come up with is a combination of a teddy bear/Teddy Ruxpin type of brown. I did my own version of his iconic tummy symbol, keeping it as original as possible while adding some of my own flair to it to give it a unique look. Also can't forget the ever-beloved heart butt symbol. I was really stuck on what expression to give him, so I was listening to music to get inspired, and lo and behold, my playlist played "Love Me Tender" by Elvis Presley, and that was exactly what I needed at that moment, and what you see is what I produced while listening to the song. With the pose in mind, I figured I would use the ever-iconic characteristic staple, the pigeon-toed or knock-kneed stance. I'm going to be totally vulnerable to you guys; in today's world and how messed up it is at times, he is my go-to character when I legitimately need comfort. He legit calms me, and it makes me smile every time I see something of him. You can say he's one of my, if not THE, comfort character. Nobody cares like a bear, especially him. Love ya, T.H.
