Awkward silence followed. Forty four years of history lingered between them. Not together all that time of course, but the memories and experiences were there. The love, the hurt, the longing... Even moreso than what Theron had with Lord Borias. Theron stared at Jonas, his first real love. His emotions started to race. "Jonas..." Jonas sat on the bed, patting the space next to him. "Come on kid we need to talk." Theron's face lined with worry. He sat next to the man that he loved so long ago. "What's going on?" Jonas placed hand over his mouth. "I need to tell you something and I need you not to freak out. " Theron looked up at him curiously. Jonas continued. I don't know if Brey has said anything to you, but you need to know. Please don't be upset with me." "Uh oh. What did you do?" Jonas let out a breath, long and measured, like he was steadying himself before a jump. "I didn't plan it, honest. She came to me." he said quietly. "Stars know I didn't go looking for it. And if I could've walked away without hurting anyone, I would have." Theron's shoulders tensed. "Jonas."
"I met her on Nar Shaddaa," Jonas continued, eyes fixed on the floor now. "She didn't tell me who she was at first. Used a different name. Different face. SIS habits die hard, I guess." Theron frowned. "Met... who?" Jonas looked up then, really looked at him. "Your daughter." The words landed heavy. Theron stared at him, unblinking. For a heartbeat-two-there was nothing. Then a short, incredulous laugh escaped him. "You're kidding." "I wish I were." Theron stood abruptly, pacing a step away, then another. "Jonas, she's..." "An adult," Jonas said quickly. "Fully grown. Independent. Stronger than either of us were at her age. I swear to you, Theron, I would never..." Theron held up a hand, breathing hard. "I'm not saying you would. I just-of all the people in the galaxy-" "I know." Jonas's voice cracked, just slightly. "That's why I didn't tell you. Why she didn't either. Not because we wanted to lie to you. Because we didn't want to hurt you." Theron searched his face, looking for excuses, bravado, anything careless. He found none. "How long?" Theron asked quietly. "A year now. Maybe a little more."

He let out a long, hard sigh. I was really hoping that I could avoid this, but even my mother has pushed us together without knowing it. maybe it is destiny after all. He hesitated before pulling the small data pad from his cargo pants pocket, the data pad that Borias gave him on Ziost 3 months ago. I guess he didn't want to let go either. even after his insistence on keeping apart when we said goodbye on Yavin IV. He tapped in the private code that Borias had given him for private messages. He typed out the quick message. It read: Lord Borias, It has come to our attention that Jedi Master Elleanna Domvar, the Bar'senthor has been reported missing by the Jedi Council. I thought it important that you be aware of it. I know that you believed your mother to be dead, but she isn't, and I just wanted you to know. I am sorry what happened on Ziost. I should never have gotten involved, but I had to try. I just couldn't allow the emperor to win. Master Amethesta and Lord Scourge have also gone missing. The last I heard; they were going to search for the Emperor. If I find out anything more, I will let you know. Thank you for all of your help. I miss you, Theron
