Lovely beach with a dramatic lighthouse and passing river traffic to watch. Worked out of Liverpool sometimes and the office had a great view of the river. Once saw the disassembled legs of what looked like an oil rig being transported slowly by boat up the river. Quite distracting! Great city, amazing people and generally a lovely part of the world.

Bit of culture for BlueSkyArtShow Saturday! Photograph taken at Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight, UK. A pair of C18th Qing dynasty porcelain candleholders in the form of two ladies. Estimated to have been produced c. 1736-95 in the Kangxi reign. Love Chinese pottery, particularly figurines. The costumes are exquisite and they often have expressions full of character. Image shows a matching pair of smiling porcelain female figures. They are wearing beautifully detailed matching court robes and traditional scraped back hairstyles. Each holds a dish in which a candle would have stood.
