Steep-sided chunk of rock which passes for an island in the St. Lawrence River. It is covered with a variety of deciduous and evergreen trees, the former beginning to turn yellow on this autumn day. The sky is a mix of white and purplish puffy clouds with just a smidge of blue sky peeking through.

A black squirrel with an acorn in its mouth leaps away. Saw a few of them but they were very active and skiddish so this was the only photo I got, big for squirrels.
The boardwalk ends where the marsh becomes the creek. Just as well, as it was sinking into the bog leading up to it.
