Yantanglestes conexus, a small, dog-like animal stands in front of a tree root in rainforest undegrowth. The Chihuahua-like beast has striped fur, and is attempting to butcher half of an old lizard carcass.

Pachyaena gracilis. Two wolf-like animals circle each other on the far shore of a lotus pond. One of the animals raises its head to look back as the other beast behind it bares a fang.
