A magnificent double sandstone arch juts out into the sea from the shoreline. It was part of the sandstone spires on the Victorian coast known as "The Twelve Apostles", but it sadly collapsed due to erosion in 1990. This shot dates from the 1970s, when a two friends (a couple) and I went on a camping motorcycle tour of Tasmania from Adelaide, and this was on the mainland route. (Yamaha 750 him, Suzuki 250 her, BMW 750 me, we exchanged mounts periodically to even it up). My friend was "adventurous", rode over the narrow footpath to the plateau. Scanned from a transparency.
