A series of brightly colored postcard-sized pictures marches down a wall. The top one is in dark colors and has an anthropomorphic firefly; it reads, "You are absolutely worth caring for.” The next is rose pink; a little catlike figure sits to one side. It reads, “You may feel burdensome or worthless, but truthfully? You are a home for the people who love you.” Next is a soft purple card with a reclining cat among meadow flowers; it reads, “Your existence HAS never and WILL never be burdensome.” The next is a deep turquoise blue; a smiling fox sits to one side, tail curled around their legs. It reads, “You’re doing well. Keep going.” Finally, a soft yellow card features another fox, this one on their back, tongue sticking out happily. It reads, “It’s a good day because you exist.” I. Love. These.

I got these at #Worldcon2025 in Seattle last month. They were freebies in the disabled lounge. They’ve been on my wall ever since; I look at them several times a day, the one at right the most. Blessings on whoever came up with the disability track. I needed it so, so much. ❤️

WorldCon haul & the only two selfies I grabbed 😭

It was a wonderful, exhausting whirlwind.
Book-wise, found some absolute gems.

People-wise, Seattle was a heartwarming reminder of why the book community is amazing.
More on that soon as I do have some group photos to post 👀

@NicoleJLeBoeuf As it happens, I attended 2024 Worldcon and therefore I have been receiving correspondence from 2025 Worldcon organizers regarding Hugo nominations. All their e-mails began with "Hello Szymon Sok", while as you can see my last name is "Sokół". Over 30 years since Unicode was […]

Proof of life! I had a wonderful time at #WorldCon2025 last week, met a great many of you, sang sea shanties about spaceships (yes, really!), composed two new poems in the fantastic SF Poetry workshop, worked on my novel with Clarion friends, and will resurrect sometime next year probably. 😴❤️‍🔥✨

We're still reflecting on everything we learned at #WorldCon2025 (& continuing to absorb more thanks to the accessibility of virtual panels ⭐), but it's impossible to catch everything! What were some of YOUR favorite take-aways?

Looking at the full Hugo Awards results. What a fun year! Please try to vote in every category, if you’re a voter! Fan categories matter immensely. Editors matter incredibly!

I love this fandom. #HugoAwards #Worldcon #Worldcon2025

Back home from #Worldcon2025 & looking through all the photos is surreal—did we really get to do all that?!

Our first live show was a resounding success in front of a huge crowd of Martha Wells / Murderbot fans who really turned out! They were incredibly generous & kind.

My #worldcon2025 panels were the best! And thank you for this quote because I always leave with almost no recollection of what I said!

With my #Worldcon2025 duties concluded (including checking in this morning for MIMO needs), I now have the day to explore. I'm going to head over to Bainbridge Island to play Ingress - reportedly the ferry is a nice ride. Today is day 26/27 of travel, and I could use some relaxation with views.

#WorldCon2025 reflections. And that's the end. My first, and possibly only ever, WorldCon is done. (Though, TBF, aside from the Hugo Awards and the level of talent in attendance, it's very much like a bigger Norwescon or OryCon heh). Sad, but SUPER MOTIVATED!! now fast food and drive home 😊

#worldcon2025 was filled with silly dances, professional growth, fascinating conversations, and community. And yes, Macarena to pop songs as well.
