In my fanfic days, I wrote m/m. #LL&MM is, I guess, t4t, as neither Liam nor Sanal are cis. #Cursed will be m/m. #WOTV will eventually be w/nb and the first time i've actually written a relationship with a woman in it. Which is weird, as I'm sapphic. But I think my agender informs how I write [1/2].
Watson and I are feeling this with our magic system, and the resulting changes to Real History that go with our urban fantasy/magical realism world that underpins both #Cursed and #WOTV.

For me, it's either a Scene (for #LL&MM & #Cursed) or characters (for #WOTV). For LLL&MM, it was an ending scene that didn't make the final cut, an "I love you" between the MC and the LI, whilst the MC is *dying*. The vibes stayed, that's all I can say.

Yupp! Claudia, in #WOTV. She had been w/ the story from inception at an RPG. As Watson & I were revising the beginning of the story, she just didn't have a place in Emmaline's arc, not as an active character. She remains named and mentioned, but won't be onscreen at least for b1.

#FebOutlining this is an origins question for us. I thrive off of feedback, and really work well with a rubber duck that can talk back. Watson had volunteered to beta in the way back days of #WOTV, and I eventually pulled her onboard to beta #LL&MM in it's infancy because I was *stuck*. [1/3]
[2/2] In #Cursed, Tristan and Nix are not in the headspace for a romantic relationship. Tristan is convinced he's unlovable bc he's ace, and Nix isn't interested bc he has Things To Do in life. In #WOTV, there's only barely some romantic subtext. It'll blossom eventually, but not in b1.

[6/8] In #WOTV Emmi is pan, w/ a bent towards sapphic interests. I'm pretty sure she is not aro or ace, but her story isn't fully written yet. Mya is giving aro/ace vibes, but I've not spent enough time w/ them yet to know. Armand is going to accidentally flirt with everyone, tho he's straight.
Oh I hate timelines. Fixing the timeline for #LL&MM has been a pain in the *ass*. But that's probably because that story was all kinds of chopped salad for a while. #Cursed and #WOTV are being written much more linearly and calmly.

Honestly I need to talk more about #WOTV and get working on it. I (Holfelder) keep getting distracted. Wardens is *such* a good concept, with a banshee-who-doesn't-know-what-that-means, a genderfluid occult investigator, and their Cajun redneck boss. & so many more characters!

In both #Cursed & #WOTV, most magic is done w/ the help of physical components and/or linguistic components. Super simple spells can be case w/ words, gestures, and intent only. Nix uses an anti-tracking spell to get the werewolf off their tail early on that is like this. More complex spells [1/2]

In #Cursed & #WOTV, everyone has a "spark" of magic, or the potential to become Skilled in magical arts. Some folks have a stronger spark - sometimes because of familial heritage or being surrounded by magic, sometimes by a fluke - which allows them to develop more in the magical world [1/2]
I'm working on 3 projects rn, but probably only #Cursed & #WOTV apply, as S&S is in beta. Both works are in writing mode, though there's a good bit of outlining that goes along with the writing, as I'm a pantser but Watson is a plotter. I wanna get 1/2way thru Cursed this month.

#WOTV is a WIP in construction. It fts a motely crew of Ancients (vampires, hags, banshees among others) and Skilled (sorcerers) trying to solve a series of highway killer-style slew of soul-less corpses. It also fts two Black MCs, one of whom is genderqueer.
