Greetings card made from interwoven small strips of paper, cut out from old magazines pictures of holly, berries and hoar-frost

I used a variety of mauve, pink and yellow roses to create this card, and chose a mauve card to complement these colours.
For #day2 of #smArtist, my #national flower would have to be the English rose. For this #wovenpaper card, I used a variety of rose pictures, which were cut out of old gardening catalogues. Ten strips of the pictures were then interwoven to create the card #reuse #savedfromlandfill #ilovecrafting
The four squares near the centre feature large, pink roses, while the rest of the strips have much smaller roses together with greenery. I chose a pink card to match the four pink squares.

A tea cup and saucer in dark maroon & cream floral fabric, with white for the inside of the cup and underneath the saucer, appliqued onto cream and maroon floral fabric. The inside of the cosy is dark maroon, as is the bias binding piping around the edge
Three fuchsia flowers on a green stem are cross-stitched onto white Aida fabric. The sepals are maroon, with pale pink petals and filaments. I really enjoyed being able to replicate the shape of the fuchsia, by using half cross-stitches
