That's fascinating, based on a quick look this plant seems real variable in the ways of relieving both mental & physical ailments. I'll have to try my hand at making a tincture soon.
Have you noticed any side effects in topical use?
I play favorites, blatantly. This Trichocereus Terscheckii graft is now one year old and every day I love it more. On its own roots it will be a slow grower so I'll let it pump on till it crushes the poor stock plant

You know what they call a bonsai tree in France? Le Bonsai. That’s some real gourmet shit
So funky! 💛
For 65 years, this little patch was a lawn. Three winters ago, I killed it and planted natives. I watered it the first summer and haven't put a drop on it since, except when introducing a new plant.
I can't wait to keep planting it in.

I wish it was but it's 'just' a big old conk. Not a single mantis species lives in my location unfortunately. Would be cool to see one in the wild some day.
They get too much hate for how chill they really are, curious buzzers💛🖤
Gotta be appreciative of lichens cuz like wtf even are these things?
Fun fact, lichens are the lifeform that first brought the term symbiosis into biological context

This staging is about 1 year old now. Trichocereus are comparatively fast growing cacti, even when restricted like this, so they have since outgrown the surrounding props and the natural look isn't as effective anymore. They'll still spend propably another year here before I stage them again.
Argentine Saguaros (Trichocereus Terscheckii) in a staged pot. When staging plants the intent is usually to recreate a tiny scenery as if the plant is growing in its natural habitat.

Een paar jaar geleden bezochten we Kew Gardens in Londen en daar maakte ik kennis met het werk van Marianne North (1830-1890.
Zij reisde de hele wereld af om te schilderen. De gallerie daar met haar werk is zeer indrukwekkend.
