Nin has realized that she traveled three-quarters all the way around the sacred forest when she could have just traveled to Tairseach Mulhcráeb in one third the distance and time, based on what she knows now.

With the mug still firmly stuck to his lip, Pennalties watched something emerge ahead of the snow. It roared toward him like some great beast, that wasn’t actually all that ‘great’ at all, but, instead, was somewhat of a long, thin stick with various weapons sticking out of it. It came to an abrupt stop before him, quivering.

Pennalties wasn’t quite certain whether this sort of thing happened often in these blasted wastes, there was little lore to go by on the place and it was, after all, why they had all made the trip, but he had a fairly good idea that broomsticks appearing from nowhere was not a regular occurrence pretty much anywhere. The broomstick didn’t quiver from the cold. No, it was something primal and animalistic which, on the whole, didn’t make all that much sense when facing a bit of wood and bristles. It seemed to be in a rage, whipping this way and that, looking for something.

Without realising it, Pennalties ripped the mug from his lip with nary a yelp and the thing snapped toward him, looking, for want of a better word, directly at him. It seemed to regard him, to look him up and down and Pennalties was extremely glad it didn’t appear to have teeth, that he could see, and, before he could attempt, and fail, to make a brave and fearless run for it under the gaze of the broomstick, it shot away at a really quite remarkable speed and disappeared out into the raging snow storm. It was, it had to be said, a little bit of an odd encounter.

“I’m terrible sorry to say, chaps, that the dogs have hoofed it.” Returning to the tent, Pennalties poured himself another mug of hot, weak tea, which was, after all, still tea regardless, and sat down. After a thought, he tried to cheer up. “Do any of you chaps happen to have a leg you’re not particularly fond of?”

Without the dogs, without rations and with only a can do spirit and a saw, they may just find it a little difficult reaching their destination. Getting back should be a breeze, however.

‘Who writes this kind of dialogue?!?”

That would be me. 😳

See, that's the thing, I can't really say since Rhyfon's motivations don't become clear until the 5th book. 😩 As far as my characters know, he was just a dick. #AntagonistApril #writesky

Well... cough.

The first villain Mireia defeats is um, Jasana 😅

Not in a battle, though. And it's not a happy defeat.

Jasana's goal was to become the Sea Mother, but Mireia is chosen for the title instead. This sets Jasana on her true villain path.

Yes, it's a BIT important 😂

Rory hadn’t checked his in-game bank in some time. The gold Esme held had piled up and there really wasn’t much he was desperate to buy for the character.

He whistled as he saw the balance, which was … comfortable. What it did, though, was make him want to spend.

He could use a new house.

Mireia is hit with a big case of YOLO (even though she *doesn't* OLO, allegedly 😂) & realizes all this time-wasting the author made her do is silly.

Go get ya boy bb girl ❤️

Floofy black dog laying on her back, snoot towards the camera, ears flat out on the floor with her fangs exposed.

Please enjoy my chocolate croissant baking in the window and my ... dog (? Maybe bat idk anymore 🤷🏼‍♀️ ) doing her rug impression.

Smiling dark elf man

Yes, he's naked. He's hot. But what I'm really proud of is that I FINALLY got his face! His kind eyes, the smile is a lil stiff, but it's more Lhoris than anything else I've managed. #romantasy #darkelf

Image of a Google doc, the line asks "Publisher name or self published"
I butchered the spelling and autocorrect filled it as "self punished."

Well, I definitely MEANT to type "published," but as an indie author, it's also not *wrong.* 😅😅

Just dropping a lil character art in process. (Don't mind the creepy model. He's just back there giving me shadow and light now.) Really happy to finally have a smile on his face.

I've been working my butt off. Hopefully I can get back into the habit of posting here. It's awful how not having enough of a wip to sample snippets means I'm not motivated to get on threads. I miss my wipsnips!

“The thing is, Reverend, I have a bit of a god problem.” She stiffened at that, the grip on his hand growing in pressure and he really would like to leave with both of them. Lifting books onto shelves was difficult enough as it was while trying not to look down. “You see, I may have, just a little bit, possibly, have, maybe, encountered the physical manifestation of the god of magic and I was wondering …”

“There is only one god, Mr Underbrick, and His name is The Lord!” She straightened up, peering down at him. She had peered down at him before, considering his height and everything, but this time she really meant it. “There are no other gods.”

“Yes, I know that. I mean, there are no other gods now.” He had started to lean backward, held upright by the Reverend’s hands. “But, before, there were, you know, quite a few, and now there’s this, this, being saying he’s Errol, the god of magic, and I was wondering what to do about it.”

“Death? Don’t even start to tell me Death is gone. What happens when people die, eh? Answer me that, because you mortals do that dying thing at an alarming rate.”

“Yes! Death’s gone! They’re all gone! All the gods! They are no more! They’ve floated away to somewhere and now there’s only one god who’s sort of a one-god-for-all type of thing. I presume he deals with all the death along with everything else that beings like you have left for someone else to clean up!” Glark turned his head, glaring at Errol as his voice echoed around the church. “You went on holiday! And look what happened!”

I am absolutely *loving* writing ‘Grimoires, Tomes, and Holiday Homes’!

It’s so cosy and sweet to be in this world. I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever write darker, more serious stuff ever again. 😅

For real, I'm just exhausted from the marketing. I've had next to no time to work on my WIP, Lightbound. It might be time to take a break from socials.
