Trumpeter 1/32 EE Lightning, cut and shut with 5mm added to the fuselage to correct the flaw in the original kit.
Delighted to have won best wheeled/half tracked military vehicle for my Tilly, and commendations for my Mk.XII torpedo & P-40 Warhawk Egg Plane. Also won the Bill Ireland memorial trophy for best vehicle in British Military Service. A great weekend result and very unexpected.

Here is the bare aluminum underside.
The position of the a/c number is speculation.
The last image is an artist rendering of the same a/c as it appeared in photos dated early in 1942 during Indian Ocean operations

Here is my Nakajima B5N2 in 1/48 from the Hasegawa kit.
Cmdr Fuchida, overall strike leader, a/c piloted by Lt Mituo Matuzaki during the Hawaii operation, first wave.
Built straight from the box.
The markings are painted. Stencils & tail code are decals.
Back to the DBMK Sea Fury. I've spent some time eliminating the visible join between the upper and lower sections of the cowling, as it's a one-piece panel on the real thing. You can see it playing peekaboo on the forward lip on each side. More soon!

Unusually I have not spent much time on the Sea Vixen cockpit. There seemed little point, it really won't be seen.

All 20 of the Warhammer Skaven ClanRats finished, I really enjoyed doing these, pleased with how they turned out. #HistScaleModels #ScaleModels #WarHammer #MiniPainting#FigurePainting
The Hangar - For when you don’t have sunshine ☀️ on the tarmac (especially here when it snows!) 😄 -Cheers
I will see if I can get the crew to squeeze them all into The Hangar 🤔
Shenyang J-5 (MiG-17F) as flown by Vietnam People's Air Force, 1969. Very nice Airfix kit, perfect for a 48hr group build - complete!

Academy 1/144 F-4F that I'm finishing as a USAF E due to some spare decals. Goes together fast so you Milliput it faster... #histscalemodels #scalemodels #scalemodel
Thanks Dave, it was yet another inspiring paint scheme that resulted in adding to my Phantom collection 👻

Nicely done depiction of the woodwork there MC 👋🏻
Close-up of a scale model Roman Warship. The eye wasn't a decal, to my surprise, but got pretty close. Then finished up with a little chipping along the plank edges
Finished the penguin / mystical eye on the ancient Roman warship. That went better than expected, but I've masked my share of circles for this year.

Nice looking Canberra build JMG. Great setting on the tarmac in the sunshine as well 👋🏻

The 1/72 Canberra TT.18 is getting ever nearer to completion; all needed now is the last few main gear doors and a couple of antennae. Still the sun was out and I couldn't resist taking a couple of pics in natural light before the final touches... #histscalemodels #scalemodels
Started painting the PR Mosquito by Airfix. It's a relief to have undercoated it as construction was awkward in places especially the Merlin exhausts. It's getting faux Norwegian markings in memory of a model finished in exactly the same scheme that never survived. #histscalemodels
Next side project, #buildthestash M997 Ambulance, just started on the chassis and drive train

Canberra TT.18 in 1/72 scale.
Still need to do a lot before I can call it finished, but at least the pilot has a view again.
True Rich, it was worth it though. Looking forward to seeing this one debut in The Hangar 👋🏻
JMG, Ya, that scheme hit my favourite Phantom list as soon as I saw it too. Aiming for 37+07 (before it got zapped by 315 squadron 😄)
Ginga Day8: Midori Iro is on, gonna wrap her up this weekend I think.

Here's an Ancient build.
This is the old Fujimi 1/48 Aichi D3A Val. A kit ahead of its time!
1st built 1983.
It suffered losing bits, decals peeling☹️
Restored 2003.
This was my IJN grey brown then.
Brush pnted canopy, markings are IJN Soryu matching my A6M.

Almost there...
Hasegawa 1995 kit went together nicely!
All painted markings except stencils & tail code.
Detailed crew spaces that are not very viewable, oh well...
I'll be posting a final Saturday🙂
