A red Tulip where the front three petals have detached exposing the inside surface of the three remaining petals the reproductive parts of the flower. The base of each petal is black and quickly changes to red The stem of the flower is green as is the Style leading up to the Stigma in the middle of the flower. Two dark filaments are visible one on each side of the Style each is topped with a paler Anther. Yellow pollen is visible on the black elements of the petals and a few pollen grains can be seen just above the top of the Stigma on the surface of the rear petal. The petals fill the top of the image and the blurred background below the bottom of the petals shows a part of a red Tulip to the left and a mix of green leaves to the right.

Rich red rose from my garden last year with its middle petals not yet open. Fully double, high-centered, I think. It has few outer petals with rot on the tips, perhaps due to the rain. Green leaves in background. Another rose already in the garden when we moved in, could be Mr. Lincoln rose, unsure though.🤔
