slim, curve-billed sunbird in which males and females are very different. Males are mostly black and dark green, with a red band across the underparts and elongated central tail feathers. Females are plain gray-brown above and pale with heavy dark markings below. Found in a wide variety of moist habitats, including wetlands, savanna, scrub, woodland, and gardens. This species is a Lake Victoria endemic.

Tiny finch with short wings, a red bill, and a long tail. The body is largely gray with subtle dark bars, a prominent red mask and a dark vent. Bill is dark in juveniles. Normally encountered in noisy flocks in grassy and reedy areas; listen for distinctive descending wheezy calls. Often found in urban areas outside of its natural African range; introduced widely across the world, including the Iberian Peninsula, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and various Indian and Pacific Ocean islands.

Good morning a little bit of #BNW_Macro #macro

This and second image taken with the OM1 and 90mm macro lens plus x2 extender. I have increasing difficulty holding this combination steady enough unless I sit, which I was able to do today. Pretty ice patterns on a very cold south facing window.

Again 90mm +x2 extender

60mm tiny, light weight and absolutely brilliant macro lens. This ice formation is shot with the fence in the background.

The sky turned blue and I was able to focus the ice formation against the sky turning the ice crystals silver on the blue background. 60mm macro lens again.
